Greetings in the Name of our Lord Yeshua HaMashiach,
We the Mashiachim welcome you to engage with our full Articles of Faith, linked over on the right side of this page or with our condensed doctrinal statements below. As followers of Yeshua, our commitment is to the unchanging truth of the Word of God and to the doctrine which accords with Godliness (1 Timothy 6:3).
Within our long Articles of Faith linked on the right of this page, we have articulated our foundational doctrinal beliefs in great detail as well as included refutations to commonly held heresies. Our aim is not only to inform, but to open a door, inviting you to a dialogue that will illuminate the profound truth and power found in God's word.
However, with the short, clear points below, we aim to quickly shed light on the powerful TRUTHS found in the Bible—truths that have been distorted over thousands of years by human teachings and traditions. We challenge you to carefully examine the doctrines of the Mashiachim presented below, testing them diligently against Scripture as the noble Bereans did (Acts 17:11).
As Mashiachim, we are committed to remaining 100% Biblical, firmly rejecting all man-made doctrines, for it is written:
- “Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6)
- “…that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written.” (1 Corinthians 4:6)
- “Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.” (2 Thessalonians 2:15)
We the Mashiachim adhere faithfully and exclusively to the teachings delivered by the apostles in the Scriptures, neither adding nor subtracting from the Word of God.
We the Mashiachim completely reject all doctrines and commandments invented by men, traditions born of human philosophies, or any teachings that do not fully align with Scripture. For Scripture clearly commands us:
- "...Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?" (Matthew 15:3)
- "...'in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men..." (Mark 7:7-8)
- “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men…and not according to Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)
- “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” (Matthew 16:6)
Our faith and practice are founded entirely on the Word of God, free from human innovations, additions, or interpretations.
Contrary to the false teachings of the Cults of Constantine (Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants), the Bible teaches that there is only One God: The Father.
- 1 Corinthians 8:6 – "Yet for us there is one God: the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord: Yeshua HaMashiach, through whom are all things, and through whom we live."
- John 17:3 – Yeshua prayed: "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
- 1 Timothy 2:5 – "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus"
- Deuteronomy 32:39 – "See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no God beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of My hand."
- Isaiah 43:10 – "I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me"
Many deceivers from the Cults of Constantine have not only twisted the Scriptures to fit their pagan beliefs, they have twisted the translations of the Scriptures. Nowhere does the Bible speak of God being a Trinity or "three Persons," as the lying Trinitarians claim. On the Contrary, the prophets, apostles, and even the Lord Yeshua Himself all taught that God is One. In fact, it's the first part of the greatest commandment:
- Mark 12:29-30 YLT – "Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, YHWH is our God, YHWH is One. And you shall love YHWH your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment."
- Deuteronomy 6:4 YLT – "Hear, O Israel: YHWH is our God, YHWH is One!"
- James 2:19 YLT – "You believe that God is one; you do well, even the demons believe this, and tremble!"
- Galatians 3:20 – "Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one."
Indeed, Yeshua is the Temple of the Living God. The fullness of God dwelt within Yeshua and empowered His teaching and His miracles just as God dwelt in the Tent of Meeting and the Temple of Solomon. Yet, just as God dwelling within the stone Temple of Jerusalem did not make the Temple God, so, too, God dwelling within Yeshua did not make Yeshua God either. Indeed, God now dwells within all believers (1 John 4:12), but believers are also not God.
- John 2:19-21 – "Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking of the temple of His body."
- Colossians 2:9 ESV – "For in him the whole fullness of God's Deity dwells bodily"
- 2 Corinthians 5:19 – "God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself"
- John 14:10 – "The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father Who dwells in Me does the works."
IV. YESHUA IS NOT GOD
Yeshua is the Mashiach (which means anointed). Yeshua is the Son of God, begotten before the creation of the universe (Proverbs 8:22-31). Yeshua is the Image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 1:3). God is the anointer, not an anointed. God is the Father, not a Son. God is eternal, not begotten. God is the original, not an image.
- John 1:18 – "No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him."
- John 6:46 – "Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father."
- 1 Timothy 6:15-16 NIV – "God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see."
- 1 John 4:12 – "No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us."
- 1 Corinthians 8:6 – "Yet for us there is one God: the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord: Yeshua HaMashiach, through whom are all things, and through whom we live."
- 1 Corinthians 11:3 – "But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."
- Revelation 1:1 – "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants."
- John 14:1 – "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me."
- John 5:30 – "I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me."
- Hebrews 2:17 ESV – "Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people."
- Psalm 110:1 – "YHWH said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool."
- 1 Corinthians 15:25-28 NIV – "For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all."
- Proverbs 8:24-26 MET "When there were no depths, I was begotten, when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was begotten. While as He had not yet made the earth, nor the fields, nor even the primeval dust of the world. When He prepared the heavens, I was there, when He drew a circle on the face of the deep, when He established the clouds above, when He strengthened the fountains of the deep, when He assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters would not transgress His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth, I was beside Him as a Master Craftsman, I was daily His delight, rejoicing day by day always before Him, rejoicing in His inhabited world, and my delight was with the sons of Adam."
- Colossians 1:15 – "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation."
- Psalm 2:12 – "Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him."
- Proverbs 30:4 – "Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know?"
- John 8:23 – "And [Yeshua] said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world."
- John 8:58 – "Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am."
- John 10:36 – "Do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?"
- John 17:5 – "And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was."
In English, we would NEVER use the word "God," with a capitol G, as a descriptor for Satan, angels, men, or anyone but "the Only True God" (John 17:3).
- Moses is called "Elohim" (and in the Septuagint, this is "Theon") – God says to Moses: “See, I have made you god (Elohim) to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.” (Exodus 7:1). Note that many translators add "as" or "like" before the word "Elohim" to make the verse less emphatic (i.e., "like God" or "as God"). But that is not in the original Hebrew text. The text says plainly, "I have made you Elohim."
- Human Judges are called "Elohim" (and in the Septuagint, this becomes "Theos") – Men who were judges in Israel are called "Elohim" by God: “Then his master shall bring him to the judges (Elohim).” (Exodus 21:6). “God (Elohim) stands in the congregation of the mighty (El); He judges among the gods (Elohim).” (Psalm 82:1). "Then his master shall bring him to the judges (Elohim)..." (Exodus 21:6) "If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the judges (Elohim)..." (Exodus 22:8)
- Angels are called "Elohim" (and in the Septuagint, this becomes "Angelous") – Spiritual beings are also called Elohim: “What is man that You are mindful of him… For You have made him a little lower than the angels (Elohim).” (Psalm 8:4–5). In Greek, the Septuagint often translates these concepts into “angelous,” but in other contexts spiritual powers are described using forms of "Theos" or related language, showing its broad application.
- The Son of God is called "Elohim" (and in the New Testament this is quoted using "Theos") – The Messiah is addressed as "Elohim": “Your throne, O God (Elohim), is forever and ever…” (Psalm 45:6; quoted in Hebrews 1:8 using "Theos"). This proves that the Greek term Theos is used in the same flexible way as Elohim. Many Trinitarians use Hebrews 1:8 to argue that Yeshua is God, but the original verse in Hebrew applies to Israel’s kings as representatives of God. This demonstrates that neither "Elohim" nor "Theos" always refers to the One True God (see John 17:3).
- The King of Israel is called "Elohim" (and quoted later as "Theos") – Earthly kings can bear the title "Elohim" as God’s representatives: “Your throne, O God (Elohim), is forever and ever…” (Psalm 45:6–7), later applied to Yeshua in Hebrews 1:8.
- Every man in Israel was called "Elohim" (and Yeshua confirms this by quoting with "Theos") – God calls men "Elohim": “I said, ‘You are gods (Elohim), and all of you are children of the Most High.’” (Psalm 82:6). Yeshua quotes this in John 10:34 using the Greek word "Theos", proving that even "Theos", like "Elohim", does not exclusively refer to the Almighty.
- The city of Jerusalem is called "Elohim" (and in the Septuagint, this becomes "Theos") – “Walk about Zion, and go all around her. Count her towers; mark well her bulwarks; consider her palaces; that you may tell it to the generation following. For this is God (Elohim), our God (Elohenu) forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death." (Psalm 48:12-14).
- Even demons and false pagan gods are called "Elohim" (and in Greek, "Theois") – “They provoked Him to jealousy with foreign gods; with abominations they provoked Him to anger. They sacrificed to demons, not to God (Eloah), to gods (Elohim) they did not know, to new ones, new arrivals that your fathers did not fear.” (Deuteronomy 32:16–17). The Greek equivalent uses "Theois" for these false gods, showing again that "Theos" is just as broad in meaning as Elohim. “I am YHWH your God (Eloheka), who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods (Elohim) before Me." (Exodus 20:2-3).
- Of course, God Himself is also referred to as "Elohim" (and "Theos") – The term often applies to YHWH, the One True God (John 17:3). This is why translators from pagan nations, especially Greece and Rome, often misunderstood: “To you it was shown, that you might know that YHWH Himself is God (Elohim); there is none else besides Him.” (Deuteronomy 4:35). Likewise, the New Testament uses "Theos" for the Father repeatedly, but the term itself is as flexible as Elohim.
“For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.” (1 Corinthians 8:5-6).
That is why we “Give thanks to the God of the gods (Elohei ha’Elohim).” (Psalm 136:2). Truly, YHWH is the God of all Elohim—and of all so-called Theoi.
This is also why Yeshua makes it painfully clear:
“And this is eternal life, that they may know YOU, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3).
Understanding the Hebrew meaning of "Elohim" and the Greek meaning of "Theos" is critical. It does not mean that Moses, judges, angels, kings, or the men of Israel are equal to YHWH. Rather, it signifies positions of authority, representation, and divine commission. This understanding prevents misinterpretation and helps us read Scripture as it was intended. Elohim has no direct equivalent word in English, and neither does Theos.
Most people who claim to worship the God of Scripture have actually crafted a false deity in their own image—a soft, powerless, sentimental god who exists only to bless their plans and affirm their feelings (Jeremiah 14:14). This is not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The real God of the Bible is not a tame mascot for modern religion, nor is He a passive spectator wringing His hands and heartbroken over human choices. He is sovereign (Psalm 115:3), fierce (Nahum 1:2), and relentless in His holiness (Isaiah 6:3). He kills (Deuteronomy 32:39). He wounds (1 Samuel 2:6). He hardens hearts (Romans 9:18). He sends delusions so that people will believe lies (2 Thessalonians 2:11). He laughs at kings and mocks sinners in their calamity (Psalm 2:4; Proverbs 1:26). He creates evil (Isaiah 45:7) and appoints the wicked for destruction (Proverbs 16:4)—all for His own glory (Isaiah 48:11)!
The True God does not beg for human approval. He is the center and fountain of all reality, and everything—yes, even evil—exists to serve His purposes (Romans 11:36). His jealousy burns hotter than fire (Deuteronomy 4:24). His wrath makes nations tremble (Jeremiah 10:10). He does not exist for man; man exists for Him (Isaiah 43:7). And that simple truth is what the world, and much of the false church, refuses to accept. In fact, those who learn the truth of God will often fall away and call Him “unfair,” “unjust,” even “evil” (Romans 9:19-20), because they despise the absolute sovereignty of the One they cannot control. But this is the God of the Bible. Love Him or hate Him—there is no middle ground (Matthew 12:30).
But we, the Mashiachim, love the One True God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). We do not shrink back from His holiness or apologize for His judgments, for “the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether” (Psalm 19:9). We rejoice that He is unchanging (Malachi 3:6), perfectly just (Isaiah 45:21), and utterly sovereign (1 Timothy 6:15). We glory in His consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29), His perfect wisdom (Job 28:28), and His jealous love (Exodus 34:14). We embrace every attribute He has revealed, for “this is the God we serve” (Daniel 3:17), and in Him alone we boast: “Let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me!” (Jeremiah 9:24).

Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.” / Malachi 3:2-3 “For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderers’ soap. 2. God’s Character and Disposition
- God is Angry Every Day – Psalm 7:11 “God is angry every day.” Note that many translations add "with the wicked" but those words are NOT in the original Hebrew text. It is is MADE UP by translators and added in violation of Proverbs 30:6.
- God is Wrathful – Jeremiah 19:9 "And I (YHWH) will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and everyone shall eat the flesh of his friend in the siege and in the desperation with which their enemies and those who seek their lives shall drive them to despair.” ’ / Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness.” / Nahum 1:2 “God is jealous, and YHWH avenges; YHWH avenges and is furious. 3. God’s Power and Authority
- God is to Be Feared – Job 23:13, 15 “But He is unique, and who can make Him change? And whatever His soul desires, that He does. Therefore I am terrified at His presence; when I consider this, I am afraid of Him.” / Luke 12:4-5 “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body… Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!” / 1 Peter 1:17 "And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear" / Acts 5:11 "So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things."

YHWH has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours.”
- God Creates Evil – Isaiah 45:7: “I make peace and create evil; I, YHWH, do all these things.” / Lamentations 3:38: “Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come?” / Jeremiah 18:11: “Thus says YHWH: ‘Behold, I am fashioning disaster and devising a plan against you.’” / Ecclesiastes 7:14: “In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: surely God has appointed the one as well as the other.”
